Thomas PossFounder · Lead Instructor
Hundredsof soldiers, deputies, and Tribal law enforcement professionals trained across his career
Thomas Poss brings 18+ years of combined experience across military service, law enforcement, and the DOJ Tribal Access Program. An Army Infantry veteran, former police officer, and instructor, he has prepared soldiers and law enforcement professionals to perform when the stakes are high.
Thomas Poss served in the U.S. Army Infantry as both an enlisted soldier and a commissioned officer, with combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as a team leader and led and trained a 45-man platoon, bringing firsthand experience in operational planning, protective security, and decision-making under pressure.
He carried that foundation into approximately eight years of law enforcement service as a sheriff’s deputy. His work included proactive enforcement, criminal investigations, and dignitary protection. As a Field Training Officer, he mentored and trained new deputies.
Training has remained a constant throughout his career. His training experience includes approximately 200–300 soldiers during his Army service, 50–75 deputies during his law enforcement career, and nearly 200 Tribal law enforcement professionals through the DOJ Tribal Access Program. His experience spans the field, the classroom, and the relationships required to turn instruction into lasting practice.
At Grey Wolf Tactical Group, he brings that experience to leaders, teams, and families through clear instruction, practical security planning, and preparation tailored to the people being protected.
